Taking water samples for analysis

It is important to use water resources effectively to achieve conservation objectives.

Many wetland habitats rely on nutrient poor, acidic surface waters. These waters are often scarce and should be used carefully in specific areas. It is important not to flood such areas with nutrient rich or alkaline water.

Careful interpretation of the hydro-ecological conditions is essential if serious mistakes are not to be made by inappropriate redirection of streams and drains.
